About
Main Entry: ref·er·en·tial
Pronunciation: \ˌre-fə-ˈren(t)-shəl\
: of, containing, or constituting a reference; especially : pointing to or involving a referent <referential language> <referential meaning>
At Referential Magazine we began building the magazine via one submitted piece of writing, but now we have many that we want other artists to submit “referential“ material to/from. This material could be visual, auditory, written etc. We expect this project to evolve the longer it exists. We look forward to hearing from you.

Jessie, this is a great idea! I’m often inspired to write poetry after reading someone else’s work.
Thanks Julie! It has been a fun project to work on. I often find inspiration from interacting with other writing as well
Are mp3s of music appropriate? I’m a songwriter who’s often inspired by poetry and short stories.
Ruth – feel free to query at refermag(at)gmail.com and provide a link to any audio files you might already have up. I’m definitely open to the possibility of audio and video files.
Interesting concept. I like what you are doing and wish you all the best with it.

What a great idea. I think a lot of poetry is in reference to other literature or other art.

Thanks Karyn! That is a really cool bench I saw in an arts area in Charlotte. I’m so bad about not changing the cover art pictures
