A native of North Alabama, Nancy Posey lives in Hickory, North Carolina, and teaches at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute after eighteen years teaching high school English. Her poems have been published in Branches 2009, the art and literary magazine published by CCC&TI and Dead Mule School of Southern Literature. She was the 2009 winner of the November Chapbook Challenge of Poetic Asides with her collection Let the Lady Speak. Her first chapbook of that same title will be published December 2010.. An avid reader as well as writer, she maintains a blog The Discriminating Reader and writes freelance book reviews.
