Nicky Yurcaba

A self-professed backwoods feminist and transcendentalist, Nicky Yurcaba writes poetry and dabbles with other art forms influenced by her rural life in West Virginia in between working as a hand on a cattle farm and working as an  adjunct professor of English at Eastern Community/Technical College.

Her work has been published in college journals such as Bridgewater College’s Philomathean, Mary Baldwin College’s Outrageous Fortune, and Bluefield College’s The Bluestone Review. She has been published by online journals such as Referential Magazine, VoxPoetica, and has work forthcoming in Underground Voices, The Literary Burlesque, and Hobo Camp Review. Her first poetry collection Backwoods and Back-words will be available from Unbound Content sometime in 2013. When not writing poetry, she can be found wandering her beloved West Virginia hills.
